Though his origin story varies, Minnesota claims to be the true home of Paul Bunyan and his great blue ox. For the 2019 Minneapolis Typecon coaster and shirt, I went full lumberjack, incorporating various other Minnesota landmarks and typographic elements as easter eggs throughout the design.
This three color design needed to work just as well on a shirt using only two ink colors, so I made the dark blue of the shirt material underneath of the print work as a third color within the composition.
